HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus) progressively destroys the immune system, leading to the development of AIDS (Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome). Gene expression analysis in HIV-infected patients provides insights into infection progression, immune response, and antiretroviral treatment efficacy.
